Get The Best Color Scheme For Your Commercial Office.
Many times, we choose colors we like, or colors we think look good for the scheme of the office. We don’t put much thought into the colors we choose for our office at all; well at least not in terms of the way it may affect us and our employees. Yes, that’s right, different colors have different effects on the moods and the levels of performance of your workers.
It’s a good idea to have some basic knowledge about the effects of color in a room or office, before you indulge in that color. Check it out and see.
Let’s start with PINK. Now this lovely color has an amazing effect that can help you to relax. It’s great for soothing anxious or aggressive behavior. It goes well with green too, so they’re a great color combo for encouraging a relaxed environment at work.
Now we move onto GREEN, which has a soothing and relaxing effect. It can help relax you if you’re likely to get anxious at work. However, it can actually restrain your appetite, so don’t put it in the lunchroom.
Our next color is BLUE and it’s another color with a calming effect. Did you know that it can even lower your heart rate, your blood pressure and your respiration rate? It’s a really powerful calming color. Turquoise can even encourage communication. Try combining blue with orange to create a sense of balance and style.
YELLOW is a color that is considered as memorable. That’s pretty much the reason a lot of your sticky notes tend to come in that color. It would also make a great study area color, because it’s great for concentration and self-esteem too. Keep the yellow a bit more subtle by balancing it with a little grey or selecting softer shades.
Now we’ve got ORANGE. It can bring a really warm feeling to a cold room. It can help reduce fatigue, since it’s particularly stimulating and it is also very likely to stimulate your appetite.
Let’s move on to PURPLE. This flexible color is one which encourages wisdom, peace, intuition and artistry. It’s said that purple even helps with headaches (although scientific research hasn’t been done to back that up).
Check out BLACK – it seems to signify strength, confidence and power. That’s why men and women wear black suits so much in the business field. Try using black and silver in the office to achieve a stunning look.
The color RED can give you a stimulating feel. It’s just like yellow and orange. Did you know that your blood pressure and heart rate is increased by the color red? You would be likely to have a high cortical level in a red room and you’re likely to feel a sense of vitality, ambition and energy as well.
Now WHITE is a mixture of all the colors. It provides a sense of balance in a room where the windows are floor to ceiling and it can soften and illuminate other colors in a range.
